What is Neuronoetics?
A question that could not fit within a single discipline.
Neuronoetics — World Institute for the Science of Consciousness is the home of an inquiry begun by Ricardo Rojas Bedoya more than five decades ago around one fundamental question: what are we?
That question led to the study of the BRAIN, but the brain was not enough. It led to the MIND, but the mind was not enough either. It led to CONSCIOUSNESS and, finally, to that which inhabits the mind, makes use of the brain's services, and enters the world through the body: the INQUILINO.
From that inquiry emerges iSYS, a model devoted to studying the relationships among CONSCIOUSNESS, MIND, BRAIN and INQUILINO, and the processes through which a human being comes to exist, inhabit oneself and enter into relationship with the world.
Today Neuronoetics houses that journey, its archive, and the investigations that continue to emerge from it — among them SENTIENCE, ADAGIO and other experimental and conceptual developments. As ALEXANDRIA gradually begins to assume a public presence of its own, Neuronoetics remains root, laboratory and memory.
